Black mulberry tree planter
This is a black mulberry tree. The main part of the tree was dead but the branch is still alive and we ate a lot of delicious mulberries last summer.
Inside the dead trunk they decided to plant a planter. Now it works like a planter.
As it is winter now it is not very beautiful. I hope I will take a photograph in summer and post here again.

If you are an amateur architect or you like to spend time with your children making models that is the toy for you. So, the young builders may enjoy. Because this is not a toy for all kids, they may get

It was a present to my son, so we made it together in the balcony. In my opinion it is better to make it outside because it is a dusty toy. It is normal as you use real bricks.
Inside the box you receive all the bricks, trowel, cement powder, plastic doors and windows, a chipboard to place the house. There are other type of houses or etc. from Teifoc bricks.
First mix the cement powder with water.
Apply the cement on the bricks with the trowel.
Place the bricks on the right place on the chipboard. It is better to draw a plan on the chipboard first. At least the outside of the house. :)
If you do not like the result then put it in the water and construct your house again.

Garden pond, green slopes
If you are planning to make a garden pond to your garden you can 
use several items.
use several items.Dig the hole and put a liner or a plastik ready made pond. If you use a membrane liner then to protect it you should use a nonwoven filter.
Select some stones and pebbles for the slopes or use a three dimensional mat to protect sliding the soil or stones inside the pond.
You can use a product called Enkamat or similar.
This products holds the particals and if some plants start to grow through it it will protect the slopes.
Nikon Nikkor 50mm f/1.2
Another lens I use with my Nikon Fa is Nikkor 50mm f/1.2
The advantages of the f/1.2 maximum aperture of this lens are twofold. The first, of course, is that the lens can be used in low-light level shooting either indoors or outside under very dull conditions. particularly when working with slow color film. The second is ease of focusing. An f/1.2 50mm lens has, at maximum aperture, very little depth of field and this can be used to advantage to secure pinpoint focusing under virtually all shaming conditions. The shallow depth of field can also be used by the creative photographer for interesting selective focusing effects. The Nikkor 50mm f/1.2 lens couples fully to both the full-aperture metering systems and automatic diaphragm mechanisms of all Nikon and Nikkormat cameras. In the case of non-AI type cameras, manual indexing of the lens' maximum aperture is required. The Micro Nikkor 55mm f/2.8 is recommended for close-up photography when high resolving power is required.

De Mechelerhof, Mechelen, Maasricht
This picture was taken in De Mechelerhof in Mechelen (Limburg) where during a company meeting we have stayed in 1997. Very nice countryside and very good place for a short (even long) holidays. It was a nice trip. I hope still keeps the beautiful nature.
These pictures was taken with my Nikon Fa but printed in 1997 and now scanned by a desktop printer from the photographs.
The second picture is a view from the countryside of Mechelen. The below one is from Maasricht. So the problem in the photos is my fault not the camera's.

I bought my Nikon FA in 1986. 
There was a promotion of a kit with a nice bag, lens (zoom-nikkor 35-70mm f/3.3-4.5), and flash unit (speedlight SB-18) .

My old Cameras 2- Nikon L35 AD2
Nikon L35AD2 is a very easy to use compact point and shoot camera.I bought this camera in 1986 and have taken a lot of beautiful pictures. It was difficult to carry my SLR camera Nikon FA.
I have had other cameras but with Nikon L35 AD2 I have been extremely pleased.
Power source: 1.5V AA type batteries for main functions and one lithium battery for the data imprint.
Film speed setting is automatic, you can use DX coded 35 mm films from ISO 50 to ISo1600.
Film winding is also automatic.
Just look into the viewfinder and centre the autofocus frame marks on the subject, and shoot. The autofocus is very good.
The built in flash pops up automatically when light is insufficient. Flash shooting range is 0.7 meters to 4.00 meters depending on film ISO.
Also it has a very good focus lock system.
You can also adjust the databack depending on what you want to be printed on the picture. Hour/minute or year/month/day
It is a perfect compact camera but not digital.
It comes with a nice strap and a very nice camera bag, not like todays cameras
Humidity in boats
One of the most important problem of the yachtsmen is condensation. They buy the boats for enjoyment but they continue fighting against condensation.
The difference between inside and outside temperatures causes condensation, especially under mattresses, bunk pads and cushions.
If you use a spacer product under the mattresses you can prevent dampness (condensation) beneath boat beds. So, the mold (odor) will also be decreased or finished.
It works like a air circulation layer. When somebody sits on it with the pumping effect the air circulates.
These spacer synthetics made of a 3 dimensional special Polyamide elastic product.
It can be easily cut to size of the cushions and matresses.
These spacer type products can be used also in basement floor of hoses where there is humidity, bars in basements, campers, caravans etc...

1. Fill up your car or truck in the morning when the temperature is still cool. Remember that all service stations have their storage tanks buried below ground; and the colder the ground, the denser the gasoline. When it gets warmer gasoline expands, so if you're filling up in the afternoon or in the evening, what should be a gallon is not exactly a gallon. In the petroleum business, the specific gravity and temperature of the fuel (gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, ethanol and other petroleum products) are significant. Every truckload that we load istemperature- compensated so that the indicated gallonage is actually the amount pumped. A one-degree rise in temperature is a big deal forbusinesses, but service stations don't have temperature compensation at their pumps.
2. If a tanker truck is filling the station's tank at the time you want to buy gas, do not fill up; most likely dirt and sludge in the tank is being stirred up when gas is being delivered, and you might be transferring that dirt from the bottom of their tank into your car's tank.
3. Fill up when your gas tank is half-full (or half-empty),because the more gas you have in your tank the less air there is andgasoline evaporates rapidly, especially when it's warm. (Gasoline storage tanks have an internal floating 'roof' membrane to act as abarrier between the gas and the atmosphere, there by minimizing evaporation) .
4. If you look at the trigger you'll see that it has three delivery settings: slow, medium and high. When you're filling up do not squeeze the trigger of the nozzle to the high setting. You should be pumping at the slow setting, thereby minimizing vapors created while you are pumping. Hoses at the pump are corrugated; the corrugations act as a return path for vapor recovery b"from gas that already has been metered. If you are pumping at the highsetting, the agitated gasoline contains more vapor, which is being sucked back into the underground tank b" so you're getting less gas foryour money .

A bicycle with three uses
A carrierbike is a fantastic invention for transporting the kids in. But once the kids have been delivered in day care/kindergarten and you are working the pedals, it is probably one of the most useless inventions. With the Danish designed trioBike, you can easily take of the front carrier and change the carrierbike into a bike and a pushchair. My first camera-Agfa Silette Rapid I
When I was about 10 years old in 1969 I got a birthday present. It was my first camera, an AGFA Silette Rapid I. The thing that I do not like is it uses 12 shots film as it is rapid :)
Agfa cameras were very popular in those days.
I learned how to take pictures and how a camera works.
The camera has a 1:2.8/ 45 color Agnar lens.
It has three shutter speeds 30, 60 125 and ofcourse B.
Aperture is almost as usual from 2.8 to 22.It has an hot shoe flash. The lever winder is on the base plate.
There are also pictures on it to adjust the distances easily :)
It is still in good condition but not possible to find the film. Also it is not very reasonable to take pictures with it.
And yes, we had a dinosaur as a pet in those years.
